After spending the last 2 years as our amazing Sales Assistant Ariana made the jump to Sales Consultant. As quite possibly the most organized of our sales staff Ariana is excited for the new opportunity to continue to provide you with the same excellent service she has in the past. She is thankful for the chance to find the perfect vehicle for your needs be it New or Used. Here’s what Ariana has to say about working at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC and her role here. “Our clients feel like Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC is a home away from home. In order to change customer attitudes and perceptions we closely listen and hear what our clients have to say and think.” Her favourite vehicle is the 6th Gen, all new Chevrolet Camaro and that is her ultimate car goal.

Sami joined our Service department at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC in 2019 as a Service Advisor. Originally from Vancouver, Sami relocated to Terrace about 24 years ago and can be found spending time with her husband and daughter during her days off. Her first car? The one she's driving now, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, we're working on getting her a more "Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC approved" vehicle. When asked what she loves most about Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC? The family feel. It's a truly family-oriented dealership and Sami feels at home.

I grew up on a farm in Fort Fraser, but I have lived all over Northern BC. I have worked for Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC since the fall of 2013, and am truly enjoying my experience here. My first vehicle was an ’87 Chevy S10 2WD that I named Dead Mans Hand. Sadly, it met it’s fiery demise in the middle of a road trip when the fuel pump failed and my cousin accidentally doused my engine in gasoline, trying to help. I now drive a 2011 GMC Terrain, which everyone calls my mini-van, and my insurance calls a train, which is kind of funny, so I’m running with it.

Boyd has made his mark at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC. Recently awarded Sales Marketing Guild Gold in Sales Excellence (for the 4th year in a row) from GM Canada it’s easy to see why. He works hard to ensure his customers are happy from finding the perfect vehicle, working around their schedule, to after sale service. The slogan around the dealership is “His name’s McCann not McCann’t”. His favourite vehicle is all of them but he really loves the look and feel of the 6th generation Camaro. A classic car buff Boyd organizes the annual Father’s Day Show and Shine and his pride and joy is a 1967 Camaro RS (which he wanted to be his photo on the site).

Cara joined Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC nearly 5 years ago. On her second day at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC she drove on the lot in a Dodge Caliber….at the end of the day she drove off the lot in a more ‘Joey approved’ vehicle. Today, she drives a 2016 Chevy Colorado named ‘Hunter’, who’s on the hunt for a guy. Cara, not so much! She spends her time with Bo, her fur kid, and you can usually find the two of them doing ANYTHING outdoors; camping, fishing, quading, hunting. Cara also volunteers her time as a figure skating coach. She was born and raised in Prince Rupert. Here at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC, she’s known as ‘Crash Warren’ or just ‘Crash’. We’ll let her fill you in on how she earned that unfortunate nickname. If you’re asking Gary, she’s simply known as ‘Trouble’. You can find Cara’s smiling face behind the service counter in Prince Rupert.

Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC would like to give a very BIG congratulations to Leon Schutle who has earned the highest GM Certified technician status – Grand Master. So what did it take for Leon to earn this status? On top of earning certification through constant experience beneath the hood and under vehicles, he also had to complete 12 certifications – each certification consists of up to 5 courses EACH! Making him the go-to man for expert knowledge on uncommon or hard to fix issues. In the 34 years, Leon has been with us, he’s consistently shown dexterity, strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and that he pays attention to those details that only a Grand Master can! When you stop by our service department and see Leon, make sure you shake his hand and congratulate him on this status. He worked hard for it! Congratulations Leon, we’re proud to work alongside you and proud of you. Thank you for your continued service to our company.

If you’ve ever been to the Terrace Motocross Park this is one guy you need to thank. Stephen is passionate about motocross and has been one of the key people involved in making the park what it is today. Whether he’s working on your truck, or racing at the park there are two central forces in his life… His wife and his child.

Brendan was born and raised in Terrace and has been a member of the Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC family for 7 years. His favourite part of the job?….nothing is ever the same. He sees different things everyday as an Apprentice. Brendan is a proud dad and family man, and can be found dirt biking and fishing during days off, assuming he’s not playing the role of doting father and partner. His first vehicle was a 1998 F250. These days when he turns into the lot every morning, he drives in a more Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC approved vehicle- a Chevrolet Silverado.

Jacob is one of our newest employees at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC. He was born and raised in the Northwest and has recently completed his 1st year Apprentice at Coast Mountain College. Nicknamed Pony Boy or Burkee Boy, he’s pretty laid back and still drives his first car…a 1990 Dodge Ram Charger, aptly named “Ram”.

Shawn has been with Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC keeping a keen eye out on our lot for the past year as a Detail Attendant. In Grade 10, you can often find Shawn moving around the lot after school and on weekends. When he isn’t working and making sure everything is clean and shiny, you can find him Mountain Biking in the summer, and on the slopes in the winter either snowboarding or snowmobiling. Shawn has a cat, named Woody. No first car yet, but the Sales crew at Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC is working on it! Shawn’s Fave part of the job? Working with the Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC team. He says the people he works with definitely get him to work daily. Awww, we love you too Shawn!
