What’s New?

The 2023 model boasts a few additions that improve its off-roading performance. A new AT4X trim is introduced and is available in an AEV Edition. This trim features upgrades and enhancements that make the 2023 Sierra 1500 a capable off-roader. The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 now also offers a new and exclusive MultiPro six-function tailgate.

Engine Power and Towing Capacity

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is exceptionally capable, boasting a best-in-class four-wheel drive diesel towing capacity of 13,000 pounds. The 3.0-litre Duramax turbo-diesel engine generates a hefty 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. This model is also incredibly efficient, with fuel economy ratings as low as 8.1 L/100 km on the highway and 10 L/100 km in the city. The Sierra 1500 also offers three more engine options. The base model comes with a 2.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft. For more power, choose a model with either the 5.3-litre V8 for 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque or the 6.2-litre V8 that punches out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
